Finalising the post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework: new paper
Lynne Shannon was part of a group of 50 scientists who collaborated to provide scientific inputs to the discussions and negotiations currently underway in finalising the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework. The authors summarise their paper with the following words: ” Governments are negotiating actions intended to halt biodiversity loss and put it on a path to recovery by 2050. Here, we show that bending the curve for biodiversity is possible, but only if actions are implemented urgently and in an integrated manner. Connecting these actions to biodiversity outcomes and tracking progress remain a challenge.” The paper is available at the following link until early August 2022: https://authors.elsevier.com/c/1fG9j9C~ItyLNG
