Dr Lynne Shannon invited as lead author of IPBES global assessment
Heartfelt congratulations to Lynne who has been invited to serve as a lead author for Chapter 2 in the global assessment of biodiversity and ecosystem services of IPBES (the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services). This high-level global assessment is about to start, and the product will be presented to the IPBES Plenary in 2019. It is expected to play an important role in several major policy frameworks.
This is an outstanding achievement and bears testimony to Lynne’s outstanding calibre as a researcher and her excellence in both leadership and teamwork.
