A few days ago, we said good-bye to Ivan Machado Martins and family as Ivan's just over three month long visit came to an end. As an international research affiliate, Ivan has been collaborating with our SCIFR group on vulnerability and adaptation of fishing communities to global change. He returns to the Oceanography Institute of the University of Saõ Paulo, Brazil, to complete his PhD research under the guidance of Prof Mary Gasalla.
